Against all odds

The TNA pay per view Against All Odds premiered on Sunday. The main event pitted Kurt Angle vs. Christian Cage. I was surprised that Christian came away the victor. It's probably better that Christian retained for gimmick reasons -- he needs the title more than Angle.

There's a rumor that there will be a Christian Coalition faction comprised of Christian, Tomko, Steiner, and Styles. That would be a good use of Steiner. He was a good fit as the muscle for Jeff Jarret and similarly would fill that role for Christian.

In an interview with IGN, Christian said that he would like to hold on to the title as long as possible -- perhaps even a year. I think a year long run would be pushing it, but he should have the title for a while. TNA has been passing around the belt alot lately which is kinda cheapening the championship aura.

Christian deserves the title, but so does Angle. The Christian Coalition gimmick sounds funny. It will be interesting how it plays out.
